Doing any home electro repairs needs not so much skills but needs concentration and following some fundamental energoproekt rules.
It is important to be aware of your local regulations conserning electrical activities.
In many communities, there are limitations on the work an unlicensed person may do… even the owner of the home. There are also distinctions made between what an unlicensed homeowner can do and what an unlicensed tradesman can do.
There are also distinctions made within types of electrical work. Appliance installation, for example, is always not considered banned electrical work if the original wiring and connection was made by a authorised electrician.
Local codes exist because of and are often based on local concerns. Highly crowded areas, such as large cities, tend to have electrical codes severely limiting homeowner electrical interventions because mistakes can endanger hundreds or thousands of people! Rural regulations are often less stringent, making possible more owner flexibility and involvement in the process. Local environmental situation such as the possibility of earthquakes, heavy T-storms or cyclones, the level of the water tides, amount of rainfall and general humidity, soil structure, and the types of construction materials used|available also influence the local electrical code.
Of all the repairs that you may do around your home, the most potentially devastating errors are in faulty electro-wiring! Countless house damages are initiated by poor wiring techniques, substitutive materials, cheap extension cords, or broken electrical appliances. The trouble and the trap is in the fake easiness of electrical work. Small mistakes can cause quick and severe consequences. Poor electro-wiring techniques can cause shock hazards that may not be obvious till the accident happens.
Quality|Best electrical activities|works depends on consistency and reliability. That is why there is an electrical code, so everyone is clear on the correct and incorrect way to perform an electrical wiring and tuning. If every household was wired according to a random standard, how could anyone without paranormal abilities clarify how to troubleshoot a circuit?
We are not trying to prevent you from learning and enriching your skills. We wouldn’t have little chance of doing it, anycase. But you should know by now that we are a strong advocate of independence and self-reliance. But if one person destroyed his house down because he thought that he could do that electrical job, and was not sufficiently OK to do the job|task right… well, that is not what we had in mind when started this energoproject. We have seen some electrical wiring disasters throughout Russia, and major share|most were undertaken by homeowners who thought that performing electrical wiring|work was no more worthy of care than cleaning the backyard!
